Nick Faulks makes it six different Slater-Kennington Cup winners from Surbiton in six years!
Congratulations to Nick Faulks who won the Slater-Kennington Cup 2016 competition. Nick's very healthy 6/8 score looked convincing enough to everyone else but apparently Nick was concerned that Surrey might have introduced a rule to disqualify anyone who loses to Paul Durrant's Morra Gambit! Fortunately not yet!
This is now the sixth year in a row that a different Surbiton member has won this competition. That is something the club can be very proud of.
Our previous winners from 2011 onwards were: Angus James, Steve Kearney, Koby Kalavannan, Paul Durrant (joint winner) and Mike Singleton.
Well done to Nick for keeping our run going!
